For over 45 years, the Caldwell Arts Council has been at the heart of our community’s creative spirit by championing artists, crafts people, writers, musicians, actors, and other talented individuals of all ages. We believe that the arts should be available to everyone regardless of financial status, which is why most of our programs are free to the public. It also is why we depend on grants, foundation giving, and donor support to accomplish that.

A financial contribution to CAC is more important now than ever because we cannot do this alone. Your support will ensure that the vibrant arts programs that are offered can continue by offsetting costs such as:

  • $6,000/year in tuition subsidies for 95% of our Junior Appalachian Musician (JAM) students who are in need of financial assistance.
  • $300/year for each Veteran or senior citizen to attend free art and music classes which includes art supplies and loaner instruments.
  • $550 for each gallery exhibition to pay for printing and mailing invitations, and providing an opening reception.
  • $1,350 for an average gallery art competition to cover costs for the invitation, reception, judge’s fee, and cash awards.

You can see that we truly believe in our county’s creative potential and understand that it is an important, worthwhile investment. Together, we can create ripple effects that transform people’s lives by offering them arts opportunities that they would not have the chance to experience otherwise,

Adding to our strong foundation, we are looking to the future. In partnership with Caldwell County Schools, a youth advisory board will be established this fall for 15- to 20-year olds who will shape new youth programs, and a school student sculpture show will debut in spring 2024. New adult art competitions are being scheduled, and a survey will be conducted to guide us in program development for the 25 to 45 age sector.

Are you ready to give back and become an arts catalyst? Then donate online today! No tax-deductible gift is too small, and scheduled monthly or quarterly installments are available. Long-term, you also may want to establish a planned gift to CAC in your estate or foundational planning. Through your support, our area’s creative sector will continue to thrive, and you will further our position as the leading arts advocate in Caldwell County.

With gratitude,
The Caldwell Arts Council Staff and Board of Directors
