Artists in Schools Program

Our Artists in Schools program brings theatrical performances appropriate for grades K-12 with most being held at the JE Broyhill Civic Center. Through a partnership with Caldwell County Schools, the events usually include morning and afternoon performances that connect curriculums to enhance students' learning of math, science, English and language arts, history, storytelling, behavior and more.

Public School Students

Public school students are registered in various programs by their individual school teachers, with registrations being processed through the Caldwell County Schools Education Center.

Home School and Private School Students

Private and home schooled students also can participate. Due to state funding, publically enrolled students have priority with all others registered based upon seating availability. Cost is $3.25 per student for each performance. When available, click on the AIS schedule, then complete your registration by calling the Arts Council office at 828-754-2486 or filling out the Home/Private School Application Form and emailing it to office@caldwellarts.com.

NOTE: Home and private schoolers must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the show. Please ask for the home school seating area, which varies by performance. If the performance has begun, you may not be allowed to enter the theatre, and your payment will not be refunded.

Educators

Please complete a Program Evaluation Form for each Artists-in-Schools program that your students attend and return it to the Caldwell Arts Council.
