Satie's Back Porch Gallery
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Satie's Back Porch Gallery is currently closed.
At the Caldwell Arts Council‘s back entrance, there is a small exhibition space called Satie’s Back Porch Gallery. It features shelving and limited wall spaces that are the perfect venue for artists and craftspeople to exhibit and sell small works. Most are reasonably priced, making it a great place to buy gifts for yourself or someone special.
Exhibiting Artist Info
Satie's exhibitions usually run for one to two months. Artists are responsible for setting up their displays, which includes supplying easels or other "display furniture" as needed. By delivery and set-up, an inventory sheet is required with complete contact information as well as item numbers with adequate descriptions and retail prices. Upon the sale of work, the Caldwell Arts Council will retain a 30% commission. Artists will be mailed checks usually by the 15th of the following month.
As in the photos below, our goal is to fill the space and artists who lack the inventory will be paired with others who work in different mediums. If you would like to be considered for Satie's Back Porch Gallery, contact us for an appointment to see the space in person. At that time, a staff member will be happy to answer any questions and discuss your proposed exhibit.
