Artists in Schools

Our Artists-in-Schools program brings theatrical performances appropriate for grades K-12. Held at the JE Broyhill Civic Center through a partnership with the Caldwell County Schools, these events connect curriculums, enhancing students' learning of math, science, English and language arts, history, storytelling, behavior, and more.

All shows are $3.25 per student, and most are scheduled for two performances at 9:30am and 12:30pm. See the 2019-2020 schedule here.

Educators, please complete a Program Evaluation Form for each Artists-in-Schools program that your student attend and return it to the Caldwell Arts Council.

Program Policies:

These programs operate under the Caldwell Arts Council and are only held at the Broyhill Civic Center. Public school student registrations are processed through the Caldwell County Schools Education Center. Home and privately educated students must register through the Caldwell Arts Council by calling 828-754-2486 or using the application form link below. Email the completed form to office@caldwellarts.com. Due to state funding, publically enrolled students have priority. All others will be registered upon seating availability.

Home and private schoolers must arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the show. Please ask for the home school seating area. If the performance has begun, you may not be allowed to enter the theatre, and your payment will not be refunded.

Parents of home schooled students and private educators are encouraged to supply contact information to ensure prompt notifications of Artists-in-Schools Programs by contacting Cathy McCoy, Caldwell Arts Council Administrative Assistant, at office@caldwellarts.com or at 828-754-2486.
