Programs
We seek to involve our members and citizens at large in activities we plan and sponsor:
- Art library -- A collection of art reference books is available to the public; a listing of these books will soon be available for viewing online.
- Artists in Schools - Caldwell County School students attend productions by playwrights, poets, storytellers and singers at J.E. Broyhill Civic Center, and visiting artists perform at various schools as well.
- Monthly Art Exhibits - Click on Main Gallery or Art-in-Healing Gallery to view upcoming exhibits.
- Literary Competition - Registration form and entry guidelines will be available again in August 2009.
- Sculpture Celebration - Registration for 2009's 24th Annual Sculpture Celebration will be online in June 2009.
- Stevens Family Scholarship - offered by the Stevens Family in honor of their mother, Allene Broyhill Stevens.
- Grassroots Grants Program - Registration form and entry guidelines will be available again in summer 2009.
- Art Classes - Information regarding artists offering art classes is available in our office or by calling 754-2486; click on "Art Classes" to view classes being offered right now.
- Regional Artist Project Grants (RAPG) - Registration and entry guidelines will be available again in summer 2009. Click here to access RAPG reporting forms
- Public Sculpture Collection - See a listing of public sculptures in Caldwell County.
- Visual Artist Competition - Registration form and entry guidelines will be available again in August 2009.
- Performances, residencies, teacher training workshops, art tours
- Granite Falls Concert - Caldwell Arts Council sponsors a concert on the square in Granite Falls every year. This year's event featured the local Celtic band Ceol Leinne!
- Perennial and Herb Garden - Anyone can pick fresh herbs from our herb garden anytime!
