Our Artists-in-Schools Performances bring theatrical performances with curriculum connections to the JE Broyhill Civic Center for grades K-8, and into the area high schools for grades 9-12. These performances enhance learning of Math, English/Language Arts, History, Storytelling, Behavior, and making healthy choices.
All shows are $3.25 per student; most shows are scheduled for two performances: 9:30am and 12:30pm, but this may change depending on final registration numbers.
*Special Note:3/28/17 "North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble" 9:30 show only
(The Caldwell Arts Council will accept applications from any
Caldwell County teacher or school administrator for projects which integrate the arts
into the standard course of study or for art programs which enhance those studies.
Priority will be given to collaborative requests.)
"Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, verbal skill, academic achievement, social and emotional development, civic engagement, improves motivation, concentration, confidence and teamwork. It enhances the life of children, be it performing or visual."
