The Caldwell Arts Council is pleased to present John McCutcheon in concert on October 4, at 7pm at the JE Broyhill Civic Center. The concert is free of charge but donations for our Artists-in-Schools program are welcomed!
Johnny Cash said McCutcheon is "the most impressive instrumentalist I've ever heard."
John McCutcheon is a master instrumentalist, powerful singer-songwriter, storyteller, and author. He has emerged as one of our most respected and loved folksingers. As an instrumentalist, he is a master of a dozen different traditional instruments, most notably the rare and beautiful hammer dulcimer. His songwriting has been hailed by critics and singers around the globe. His twenty-four recordings have garnered every imaginable honor, including seven Grammy nominations. He has produced over twenty albums of other artists, from traditional fiddlers to contemporary singer-songwriters to educational and documentary works.
It is an honor to welcome this remarkable artist to our community. For more information contact the Caldwell Arts Council 828-754-2486 or go to www.caldwellarts.com
This project was supported by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
