Art In Healing Gallery - 4th Quarter 2012 - NC Wildlife Artists Society

The Art in Healing Gallery is located within Caldwell Memorial Hospital at 321 Mulberry Street SW in Lenoir. Patrons may enter the hospital gallery from the Mulberry Street entrance between the hours of 7am-8pm. The exhibit is FREE to the public. For more information, please contact the Caldwell Arts Council at 828 754 2486.

NORTH CAROLINA WILDLIFE ARTISTS SOCIETY

The fourth quarter exhibit at Caldwell Arts Council's Art-in-Healing Gallery at Caldwell Memorial Hospital will feature a variety of artwork created by members of the North Carolina Wildlife Artists Society.

The North Carolina Wildlife Artist Society was formed in 2009 with charter members invited by an organizing committee. The Society now consists of juried members  from across the state.   We vary in styles and mediums, but our common denominator is that we love wildlife and natural beauty of our state and illustrate this through our art.  Media include watercolors, acrylics, oil, sculpting and photography.

Many of our members have won a wide variety of awards for their artwork and several are known nationally and world-wide for their work.

The mission of the group is to bring the highest quality wildlife art available to the fore and offer a variety of services and opportunity for the wildlife enthusiast. Another mission is to become a strong, influential factor in education within our school systems, provide special funding for scholarships in wildlife research and preservation and provide ongoing exhibitions to show the abundance of our animal and plant species in their natural environment.
