Color Workshop for Artists at Lenoir School of Visual Arts
Color can be perplexing for even the experienced artist. This workshop focuses on solutions to color problems using straightforward language, illustrations, and hands-on exercises. Participants will learn the practical application of color theory (without having to get bogged down in scientific complexities), and discover why ‘traditional wisdom’ doesn’t always work. This intensive six-hour workshop (in three sessions), will include a review of the working methods of such artists as Maxfield Parrish and Josef Albers, and an eye-opening study of the four-color commercial printing process which can be adapted to the artist’s studio. Restricted to ages 16 and up.
Saturdays, March 22, 29, and April 5; 10 a.m.–noon
$180 (non-refundable after workshop begins). Participants must provide their own materials.
To register or for more information contact Eddie Tallent via e-mail: email@example.com or leave message at 828-572-0962.
Registration deadline: March 17
