Sculpture Celebration

Mark your calendars now for the 28th Annual Sculpture Celebration - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2013.

On Friday, September 6th, sculptors with large pieces will set-up between 10am-7pm (2 cranes available**) & then enjoy the "Blue Jeans Preview Party" (casual dinner) 7-8:30pm and meet the competition judge. Set-up will continue Saturday morning, September 7th between 7am-9am (only small vehicles will be allowed in the park); then the Celebration will be open to the public 9am-4pm; judging occurs all day with awards announced about 3:30pm.

This event is a partnership between the Caldwell Arts Council, the City of Lenoir, and the Lenoir Tourism Development Association.

** Jim Gallucci's crane has a 25-foot reach and will handle weights up to 2,000 pounds.  Second crane from Stefan Bonitz can lift 4,100 pounds at a 15-foot reach, or 1,600 pounds at a 33-foot reach.  Operators will bring all the needed rigging.

FREE CAMPING AT THE LENOIR AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTER (secure, quiet, peaceful location, with indoor access to showers/bathrooms)  - (Also - a few local residents have offered a room in their homes for sculptors. Call the Caldwell Arts Council at 828-754-2486 for contact information)
