*Satie Hunt Broyhill moved into this house in 1923 as a young wife and mother. Here she instilled in her four children the same love of music and the arts which were so important to her. She shared her time, her talents, her means and her enthusiasm with numerous projects involving the arts, the church, education and the betterment of young people. Throughout her long life she was keenly interested in the Caldwell Arts Council and proud of the part her family home has played in fostering the arts in this community.
