Literary Competition

The Caldwell County Public Library and the Caldwell Arts Council established the Literary competition in 1992 to encourage writers in the pursuit of excellence in their craft and to offer a unique opportunity for public recognitioin of their artistic talents.  The Friends of the Caldwell County Library added their support to this endeavor in 2007.

Competition runs September 15-October 15; winners and entrants will be invited to participate and read their entries at a reception December 5th at the Caldwell County Public Library

Competition Categories: 

Poetry - 1st prize $100, 2nd prize $50, 3rd prize $25

Prose - 1st prize $100, 2nd prize $50, 3rd prize $25

Young Writers - $100 for best entry by youth age 12-17
